Half-time dance

I love to watch Shandler dance. This is her outlet of energy! She is so animated, just look at her different faces in these pictures. She sets every pose and eats it up! Thanks to her dance teachers for showing and teaching her all she knows-Brooke and Christa.

Saturday Basketball

Go Sayger-under the basket!
Guarding his man. We love watching Saturday basketball. It is so funny. Some days they are completely with it and others they are in the zone... the twilight zone. Sayger is fun to watch.

TAG!

Kenna tagged me. This is the fourth picture in the fourth album we have saved on the computer. Kent and I decided it was two years ago in the backyard. Lori, the kids and I were having a picnic in the backyard. Stormie asked if she could fish and the next thing we knew there was a fish on the line. A big one too! I grabbed the camera and Lori helped to se the bass free. Stormie was pleased but very calm about her catch.

I tag Dani, Charlce, Holly and Linda T.

Declo Cheerleader!

Stormie had a game the other night so I took "my " camera and took a few candid shots of her performing! She does a great job! She used to tease me about being a cheerleader in school. Now look at her! Go DECLO!
I do like Kent's camera better, especially for action shots, his shoots a clear image while mine is a little fuzzy!

Uncle Randy and Shandler

Shandler loves her family! She is always so excited to see them outside of family functions. She was thrilled to see Uncle Randy at DARE graduation and is very proud that he is the Sheriff of Cassia County.

Winter Wonderland!!!

The view outside my back deck.

On December 23rd I was so impressed with the Christmas snow I took a few pictures. When I was a little girl I was raised in California and I loved the winter visits to Idaho because of the snow. I know several of you are thinking "IS SHE CRAZY!" Slick roads, snow blowers, rock chips, shoveling etc... but I love it. I especially love the snow during Christmas. This is a view of my backyard two days before Christmas! You can't even see where the yard ends and the river begins.

Happy New Year!

We wish you all the best in 2009! May Heavenly Father bless you all. May you be healthy and happy!

More sledding

Sayger is Kyle's shadow... but he renamed Gina-Shina the Super Sledder this year and he rode with her the second day.
The crew at the falls!
On New Years day Shane took us for an all day ride. Stormie went by herself this time too and she did awesome. We saw some beautiful country and we spent the entire day out in the snow. To my amazement I was only stuck twice but Shane says your not really snowmobiling unless you are stuck. He also says it's a team sport we play together and help each other out. I'm glad I'm finally not the one stuck all the time. This year I got off the trail and played in the snow!!!! It was fun. It has taken awhile but I enjoy it now. I should have started at an earlier age, then maybe I could ride like Kyle...probably not! He rides great but I'm a chicken to go where he goes and I wont' heal as quickly or as well.
Thanks for digging us out, sharing your cabin and including us in the fun, you are terrific friends.... once again we had a blast and look forward to the next trip. Remember the deal... This summer the river and back yard are open to Shane, Mitch and their families. It's a trade! Water skiing on the Snake for tours and sledding at the cabin!

To Cave Falls

Adjusting Sayger's helmet
Hiking to the falls and the cave-Kyle fell going up-hill it was slick and steep.
Look Dad!
The first day Shane suggested we take the kids into the falls. It is a thirty-five mile ride and for the girls and Sayger it is usually just enough. We ride to the falls, have a snack, hike to the falls, get wet and cold from the mist, stand in the cave and head back. This year the cave was caved in. So we hiked to the mouth of the cave, watched the water fall, had our snacks and headed back. This year I had Kent get me a new helmet with a face shield and all the way to the falls I felt like I could hardly see. I thought it must be my contacts, I closed one eye and then the other. When we got to the falls I took the helmet off and was going to clean the shield when I noticed a piece of tape.I peeled the tape and a light yellow colored protection film peeled off. Everyone got a good laugh at me especially myself. Now I can see!! Stormie rode in by herself this year and she did great. Sayger rode with Kyle which he loves because Kyle goes fast. Shandler rode with me, which she hated, slow down mom. She was so tense her back hurt. The road signs are not quite covered and they said 25 and I was going almost 40. The signs are for cars in the summer. We took the kids back to the cabin and we went out for another tour by Shane and Mitch. It was awesome!

Kent took his camera and took some great shots along the rides. Mother nature creates some wonderful and beautiful things for us to enjoy. I'm thankful we took the time and did enjoy what we saw!

New Years Fun!

Last year Shane and Gina Darrington invited us to share in their cabin in Ashton during New Years. We had a blast and loved the vacation. They invited again this year and we jumped at the chance. We take our snowmobiles and we spend time with our family and friends in the snow. We stay up late, sleep in late, eat great food, snowmobile around and share memories with our friends. Shane is our tour guide and we have alot of fun. This year Sayger spent more time riding his snowmobile the "Kitty Kat", he went round and round the circle and he loved it. Kyle even tried it out this year but decided he would rather sled with the big boys. Wide open the "Kitty Kat" goes 5 miles an hour but to Sayger it is 50! Check him out.

The day after Christmas

Dinner
Sister gift-I can help mom!
Sister #2 gift
Two years ago we decided with our extended families we are so busy! We would have our family Christmas the day after Christmas. Kenna and Chip usually spend several days with the Harris family for a Christmas marathon, Charlce and Ricky have been in Texas and Kent and I are worn out on Christmas night. I have been taking cooking classes and prepared a dinner I had learned in class. It was a success and turned out very good. Ricky said I out did myself and those classes payed off. It was yummy. After dinner we quickly cleaned up and headed for gifts. It was fun. This year I had Stormie, Shandler and Sayger make Kenna and Charlce a special gift. It was fun to see them open their sister gifts. It is our time together and we enjoyed it.

Christmas Morning!!!

Christmas is definitely in the eyes of children. Look at their faces. It was awesome! Now that they are a little older I make them sleep in a bit before they can wake us up. Stormie set her cell phone alarm and to my surprise it woke them up. I bet they could have slept in longer had it not gone off. Santa left Sayger a remote control robot, which he loved. Shandler got a digital camera and Stormie a new CD player that you can plug your MP3 player into. She was thrilled, bathroom music!! We enjoyed the morning of gift opening and then headed for the showers so we could get to Grandpa and Grandma Kidd's for the festivities with aunts, uncle and cousins.

Christmas Eve Continued...

Grandma gave Stormie and Shandler very special necklaces this year. She was showing Shandler the engraving on the back of the necklace.
Grandma Great-The very best Grandma in the entire world. She is my hero! She shares in all events and loves every minute, we love having her and are blessed she is able to come.
Cool! Transformer Bubble bath!

Every year we spend Christmas Eve at my mom's house! We eat chili and snacks and open gifts. We then let the kids play and we play cards and visit. The kids look forward to it all day long. Sayger was counting down because he had a BIG gift at Grandma's from Auntie Brooke... it was a pogo stick. He is a little concerned on how to use it but once the garage is cleared out( we move the cars) he'll get it figured out. I'll post his first pogo experience for your viewing pleasure at a later date. We then went home and opened one gift-tradition- set out the plate for Santa and all of my children snuggled into Sayger's room for a snooze. HA! It was 12:30 p.m. before they finally settled down, I did an Internet check and informed them Santa was in New Mexico-they quickly quieted down. Christmas is so exciting!
